Product Description
Another Gibson from our recently acquired collection and surprisingly not modified with the exception of an added floating pickup with adjustable poles and new locking tuners . The Gibson Custom L-4 C. In 1935, under the direction of famed Gibson designer Lloyd Loar, the L-4 began its evolution from an oval-sound-hole acoustic guitar to the F-hole-adorned classic hollowbody jazz box we’re familiar with. The all-solid-wood L-4 C sports a carved spruce top, and laminated maple back and sides. The fast mahogany neck is capped with an original buttery bound rosewood fingerboard. Gold hardware, Groiver Locking tuners, Resomax bridge ( original bridge is included in the case), Super 400 Style Solid Brass Tailpiece – completes the setup. This 1949 L4C has a floating gold adjustable pole pickup, and is amazing condition cosmetically and structurally. Glorious clarity warmth and tone, effortless playability. Comes with original Lifton case.
