Each Jim Fisch Archtop Guitar is hand crafted with a solid Spruce for the top and Mahogany back and sides- which is available in a whole series of different archtops. Rare, highly sought after, and one of the last 605 non cutaway guitars made by Eastman before discontinuing this model.It was decided that there should be only one 16″ non cutaway and one 17″ non cutaway. The 805 was chosen for the 16″ and the 610 was chosen for the 17″ This mahogany version offers the same loud projection, bur much more warmth.
The 605NC features ebony fingerboards and are available in Classic and Classic/Sunburst finishes. The mahogany back and sides ad a warmth and depth to the guitar not found in standard maple back and sides archtops. The ebony fingerboard enhances the warmth of this archtop.
The 16″ 605nc has a very homogenous tone with great clarity to all the chordal voicing, which excellent chordal note separation This series sound great acoustically with great projection and fullness and is the preferred combination for bluegrass and country music.
