D’Angelico NYL-2 Made by Vestax in Japan- 17” lower bout; 25 1/2” Scale; Nut 1 11/16”

This DA features a Solid bookmatched X-braced spruce top; solid maple neck; arched flame maple back and sides; solid ebony fingerboard with pearl slashed-block inlays; seven ply top binding; three ply binding; triple bound back, headstock, fingerboard and f-holes.

Inlaid adjustable compensated rosewood bridge; gold stairstep DA logo tailpiece; multiple bound tortoise art deco pickguard; gold Grover Rotomatic sealed back tuners with Imperial keys. Kent Armstrong Handwound floating single coil pickup with volume, tone controls

Striking art deco designs, stairstep tailpiece to the art deco pickguard and the Chrysler Building truss rod cover, are unmistakably the timeless creation of John D’Angelico. This example is an original Vestax built model, signed by master luthier of the Terada workshop near Nagoya, Japan.

Medium frets are crowned and polished for easy fingering, with smooth low action over the entire fretboard, and gentle D neck profile. The guitar will easily accommodate 11-14 gauge strings. String action is set at 3/64“ to 4/64” at the 12th fret, with no buzzing during normal attack. Original brown faux alligator deluxe arched DA logo plush hardshell case.
