Product Description
The D’Angelico full size hollow bodies were originated by the great and only John D’Angelico. Their design is unique and timeless. Instantly you know it is a D’Angelico. It cannot be mistaken for any other guitar with its stair step tailpiece, and unique headstock design including the center finial. These re-issues are made in the exact likeness of the originals which now sell for many tens of thousands of dollars and affordable only to the wealthy players. D’Angelico has built re-issues at prices that todays musician and amateur and professional guitarists can afford.
This DA has great playability and low action with very little wear anywhere. Frets are hardly played, and the body has no marks. The body color has lightened over time and shows a wonderful uniform aging and lightening of the color reducing the original amber to more of a true blonde which I feel is much more desirable. The original amber blonde color can be seen under the bridge.
Nothing will every be as good as John D’Angelico originals, but these are built extremely well with great fit and finish and playability to give you the feeling of playing one of John’s D’Angelico´s masterpieces – the finest build Jazz guitars ever made.
All models are build to D’Angelico specifications in a manner that produces a superior guitar at very affordable prices. These models are available in 16″ lower bout models and 17″ lower bout models, with floating and routed Humbucker pickups.
