This beautiful 2006 black top L4CES is in excellent condition. Frets are very clean with no divots. All original hardware. Comes with original hard shell case.

In 1935, under the direction of famed Gibson designer Lloyd Loar, the L-4 began its evolution from an oval-sound-hole acoustic guitar to the electrified, F-hole-adorned classic hollowbody jazz box we’re familiar with. The all-solid-wood L-4 CES sports a carved spruce top, and carved maple back and sides. The fast mahogany neck is capped with a buttery bound ebony fingerboard. Nitrocellulose lacquer finish enhances tone but is susceptible to lacquer cracks from changes in temperature and humidity. This L4CES has been played by a professional musician and shows some wear and a multitude of lacquer cracks on the top which are only cosmetic. Weight: 6 lbs. 10 oz. Definitely used. A number of scratches & small dings on body & neck. Most significantly are:A couple of dings in back– Finish chip in back of neck near volute area– Various dings/finish impressions on top– A significant amount of superficial scratches in headstock finish– Pickguard scratches– Significant wear/pitting on all tuners– 2 strap buttons installed (1 in neck & 1 on back)– Significant wearing of gold plating on pickups
