Product Description
GUILD 1962 Aristocrat – A well-played & much-loved authentic vintage guitar made in America. We were so excited when we received this guitar that the pictures were taken before we actually detailed the guitar. Th knobs have some haze that will have to be romped and the entire guitar detailed prior to delivery to it’s new owner. Very lightweight hollow body archtop guitar with warm, rich tone. Amazingly light and comfortable & tons of fun to play! Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Medium profile mahogany neck with ivoroid binding & black side-dots. The binding has aged into a nice cream color. Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. Original frets show still have much life left. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock logos have aged nicely. Replaced tuners are in good working condition. Rare 1 11/16″ nut width; 25″ scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Body: Single-cutaway, hollow mahogany body with spruce top in natural finish. Original Guild trapeze tailpiece with floating rosewood bridge & original black pickguard. There are no cracks in the body binding. Pickups: Vintage Gibson Humbuckers (Bridge pickup pictured below- neck pic still to come). Dual volume & tone controls with original knobs & 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition. Some wear -small nicks & dings; surface scratches, and a scrape on the bottom edge below the volume and tone knobs, & some finish wearCase: Original hardshell case included. The case is also a bit rough & the handle has been taped up, but serves its purpose well.
