Bookmatched solid carved spruce top; solid carved slab cut maple back and sides; solid 5 neck with walnut centerstripe; solid Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with diamond mother of pearl inlay; pearl column peghead inlay in stained holly headstock veneer, triple-bound body, bound fingerboard and headstock.
1946 Epiphone Triumph Archtop acoustic/electric guitar.
All original except for added cutaway. Maple back & sides, spruce top, maple neck with walnut strips, rosewood fingerboard. Original tuners, frequensator tailpiece, pickguard and rosewood bridge (has matching serial number stamped underneath). Binding is intact with no repairs or gassing. New set of Thomastik GB112 flat wounds. Sounds Amazing with the big Epi acoustic voice. Comes with original pickguard. Currently without a pickup which could be installed with volume and tone at a very reasonable price.
Guitar plays and sounds great. low action with great sound both acoustically and electrified.
Was professionally converted from a non cutaway model to an ES-175 style pointed cutaway model years ago. Great professional work. There are some stress cracks inside the cutaway only that have developed through the years. The cracks are not all the way thru the wood, but are there.
