Palen 17″ arch top hand-built by Master luthier Nelson Palen from Kansas. This guitar has stunning hand-carved, master-grade flamed Maple back & sides with a lovely hand-carved European Spruce top. The carving stands out by the various depths and contour visible in the pictures the translates into a magnificent tone and acoustic projection.
This fingerboard, bridge, tailpiece, bridge & faceplate are all made of very clean, streak-free Gabon Ebony. The original Hand wound Kent Armstrong Palen floating pickup is installed & ready to go.
This stunning instrument its very acoustic with a punchy tone that Palen’s instruments are known for. This has a full, D-shaped neck with a beautiful Ebony fingerboard.
In almost new condition with no fret wear of signs of being played. This is your chance to get one of there 99 remarkable archtops mad by Nelson Palen, Other owners include, George Benson, Rodney Jones, Paul Brown, John Zweig , JC Styles among others. When George first played a Palen his comments were “Wow, this is very light weight and every note sings!”
