It is a versatile archtop with one set humbuckering pickup, with good acoustic and amplified tone. The 803ce has a sweet warm tone, but at loud volumes this can feedback. If feedback is a concern, check out the Jazz Elite series. They have heavier parallel bracing and stiffer tops, and an even thinner body to diminish feedback, upgraded electronics including a Lollar imperial hand wound pickups to give a great full warm jazz tone, and are priced very similar to this model.Whichever Eastman that you choice will give you great value and fabulous sounding archtop.
