The Heritage company is over 25 years old, it has achieved the status of one of the premier guitar companies in the world today. The greatest Heritage guitars were built by the original owners who established Heritage when leaving Gibson. The Sweet a6 was one of the most popular models due to it small comfortable body, and big tone! Unfortunately the original founders are alll gone, and Heritage now builds very few carved archtops because the skill of building fine archtops isn’t easy to find.
This 1939 Spruce and Walnute Broadway is a superb model of the old Epiphones, with the chunky full tones that they were known for. Undoubtably the best comping archtop ever made. With a Black walnut back and a handcarved, quartersawn bookmatched solid spruce top this archtop produces a tone that is distinctly more brilliant with more warmth than ordinary maple bodies.
This Heritge Sweet 16 archtopguitar was owned by a collector and has minimal signs if being played. This Carved 17 Holtz Archtop has a 1.74 nut width 2.18 inches at the 12th fret very comfortable C profile fast neck, no strap button, plays like silk, and is in mint condition. Fabulous guitar

The Cremona was built a little smaller 16″ at the lower bout and a little thinner 2 1/2″ at the rims, and given a smaller headstock for perfect balance, making it more comfortable and lighter and more feedback resistant for the professional musician. With a carved solid top it imparts “Bell like tones” with great chordal note separation and feedback resistance not found in the larger model.
The best archtop guitars were made in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Guild a 500 archtops were among the finest and had that great vintage tone that you just can’t find in new guitars today.
