The Sadowsky Jim Hall Guitar has an decreased thickness of the top and back to provide a more acoustic response. He reduced the depth of the body to control feedback, designed a new ebony tailpiece with a string ground, and shaped the neck until it felt just right to Jim. This 2008 Sadowsky Jim Hall is the real deal and features a nitrocellulose finish which was later discontinued on this model in favor of polyurethane.

The Sadowsky Jim Hall Guitar has an increased thickness of the top and back to provide a more acoustic response. He reduced the depth of the body to control feedback, designed a new ebony tailpiece with a string ground, and shaped the neck until it felt just right to Jim.

The Palen Archtop is an “X” braced traditional instrument, descendent from the D’Aquisto school of instruments- very light and acoustic. It features a hand carved and graduated top and back, slightly thicker than many typical archtop guitars, with a very resonant and acoustic tone.

If Steve Helgeson (Moonstone Owner) is still building his guitars with as much attention to detail as he used to, then I imagine that the M80 will be an excellent guitar.
the sound – not for vi8ntage blues tones – but sophisticated Alembic type fusion and jazz sounds. I liken it to a Stanley Clarke sound in a guitar.
the bridge pickup has an insane amount of gain.

Heavily bracing under the top to anchor the stop tailpiece, and thickly carved back center, but completely hollow. If you put a light into one F hole, you will see the light in the opposite f hole.
