It is a serious challenge to find appropriate concepts to reproduce double bass authentically. To have it in the smallest possible size yet absolutely high-end, audiophile in tone make it even harder.
The BassCube has proven to do an excellent job however some issues needed to be newly addressed … more than a facelift.
The Basscube² is fundamentally different from the former version and from many other product in the market. It has lost a lot of weight and is much clearer in its functions and features.
Now, in its 2nd generation it is a ‘real’ 12" and 1" horn coaxial system which works extremely well in its very small bass-reflex cabinet! A huge improvement in sound and quality as well performance.

We have also implemented AER’s new advanced dynamic control technology and have extended the dynamic range substantially. Driven by the new AER 500 W / 8 Ohm class D power amp the BassCube has got the power to go down to the lowest frequencies in an effortless manner that can be noticed.
