These Monarchs have also been dressed up with a solid flamed maple back, tri-color sunburst, volume and tone added to the pick-guard, with a floating or set Humbucker available on the 17 model, as well as a smaller 16 model with a set Humbucker made for the performing musician.

Product Description

The Peerless MONARCH features a 17″ all solid arched spruce top and a solid maple arched back and Rosewoody fretboard, bridge, pickguard, and tailpiece. This is a great jazz  archtop with a great solid wood sound at a very affordable price. It has a floating pickup that delivers the clarity and tone of the best archtops. The solid wood construction gives great clarity of tone and chordal note separation which is missing in most laminated archtop guitars.  This model features a very comfortable fretboard of 1.69″ at nut 2.04 or wider at the 12th fret and a 14.6″ scale length making it ideal for jazz chording. The solid wood design makes it excellent in chord melodies and in comping where chordal note separation is essential. Mother of pearl fretboard inlays and bone nut. It has a moderate acoustic voice because of a  small sound post to resist feedback which enhances that dark jazz amplified tone that Jazz guitarist seek. Comes with case and professional setup.
