Best Price Guarantee

Our goal at Guitars ‘n Jazz is to find you the best possible instrument that not only matches your personal requirements and play-style, but is also a guitar that you enjoy playing and look forward to picking up.

We strive to price our instruments as competitively as possible in order to give our customers the best possible value for their dollar. And as a guitarist myself I would never sell an instrument that didn’t live up to my own high standards and expectations.

All of our instruments are thoroughly inspected, tested, professionally set up, and carefully packed for shipment. And all instruments are sold with our 72 hour satisfaction guarantee.

We encourage you to call us for the best price possible. We routinely have demos, closeouts, blemishes, and used instruments available for purchase. And if you happen to find a lower price please let us know.

And please keep in mind that it’s difficult comparing various instruments on the Internet. Since many of our guitars come standard with upgraded woods and tone controls shopping by price alone won’t tell the whole story.

Since our inventory changes so frequently it’s best to call us to find all of your available options. With over 500 archtops in stock you can be assured that we have unbelievable guitars to fit any budget.

Product Description

Peerless Logo

The Peerless Martin Taylor Maestro is the first Signature model in the 41 year history of Peerless. Designed by Martin Taylor himself, the Maestro is a true work of art. At 15″ width, 2 3/4″ depth, 24.6″ scale, it is slightly smaller than the typical jazzbox.

It has a uniquely resonant tone, thanks to its carved spruce top, carved maple back, and sides of solid maple. The Maestro has a floating humbucker pickup, suppled by Kent Armstrong. The fingerboard, bridge, tailpiece, pickguard, and tuner buttons are made of ebony. The Maestro’s carved spruce top is finished in natural or sunburst , and the carved back and sides are sunburst. This is one of the best performing floating pickup guitars that we have ever tested with minimal feedback and great acoustic tone can be heard when amplified. The nut width is 1.76 inch and the width at the 12th fret 2.16 inches and 2.33″ at the 2oth fret, making this a perfect guitar for anyone that fingerpicks.

The Martin Taylor Maestro is the higher spec model with blonde carved solid spruce top, antique sunburst carved solid maple back and solid maple sides. The guitar is complimented in perfect contrast with ebony fretboard, bridge, tailpiece and pickguard and sports a black Kent Armstrong floating mini-humbucker. An abalone orchid is inlaid on the 12th fret and the volume control is located under the pickguard for discreet adjustment. A 381mm wide, 70mm deep body and 59mm neck width makes this a stunningly compact guitar.

Designed by guitarist Martin Taylor and built by Peerless the Martin Taylor Maestro and the Martin Taylor Virtuoso guitars seek to set a new standard in archtop guitars. With a pedigree in manufacturing Archtops, Acoustic and Hollowbody guitars spanning over 40 years, Peerless Guitars is one of the world’s leading guitar makers.

The Martin Taylor Maestro and the Martin Taylor Virtuoso are truly stunning guitars visually, acoustically and in playability with both models being fully designed by multi award winning guitarist and composer Martin Taylor. Dr Martin Taylor MBE has established a unique musical career as an internationally acclaimed musician, and his inimitable style has seen him recognized as the world’s foremost exponent of solo jazz guitar playing.

Peerless guitars deliver amplified tone and performance equivalent to guitars costing 2 to 3 times more! Other guitars may look the same, but once you play a Peerless you will immediately hear the difference and be amazed at the affordability of these fine guitars!
