Luthier Roger Borys began guitar repair work in the early 1970s, and completed building his first guitar in 1976. Borys has concentrated on building versatile, high quality instruments designed for the jazz guitarist. In 1980, Borys united with James D’Aquisto and musician Barry Galbraith to design the BG 100 Jazz electric. This Custom B420 Special 17” bout, beautifully carved parallel-braced spruce top, highly flamed maple body and neck. Ebony board, bridge and pick guard. Five-ply bindings set-off gorgeously against the maple, ebony and rosewood of the body, neck and headstock. Pearl headstock inlays, custom gold tailpiece, matching Grove Imperial tuners, Kent Armstrong set pickup, pick guard mounted volume control. Playing the B420 is an amazing experience. It is an outstanding guitar and a very rare piece to find on the market. The tone is deep, rich and extremely expressive. This guitar is super loud when you need it and soft and buttery when you ease off. From the first time you lay your hands on it, you will notice the craftsmanship and impeccable design.
