Best Price Guarantee

Our goal at Guitars ‘n Jazz is to find you the best possible instrument that not only matches your personal requirements and play-style, but is also a guitar that you enjoy playing and look forward to picking up.

We strive to price our instruments as competitively as possible in order to give our customers the best possible value for their dollar. And as a guitarist myself I would never sell an instrument that didn’t live up to my own high standards and expectations.

All of our instruments are thoroughly inspected, tested, professionally set up, and carefully packed for shipment. And all instruments are sold with our 72 hour satisfaction guarantee.

We encourage you to call us for the best price possible. We routinely have demos, closeouts, blemishes, and used instruments available for purchase. And if you happen to find a lower price please let us know.

And please keep in mind that it’s difficult comparing various instruments on the Internet. Since many of our guitars come standard with upgraded woods and tone controls shopping by price alone won’t tell the whole story.

Since our inventory changes so frequently it’s best to call us to find all of your available options. With over 500 archtops in stock you can be assured that we have unbelievable guitars to fit any budget.

Product Description

Luthier Roger Borys began guitar repair work in the early 1970s, and completed building his first guitar in 1976. Borys has concentrated on building versatile, high quality instruments designed for the jazz guitarist. In 1980, Borys united with James D’Aquisto and musician Barry Galbraith to design the BG 100 Jazz electric. This Custom B420 Special 17” bout, beautifully carved parallel-braced spruce top, highly flamed maple body and neck. Ebony board, bridge and pick guard. Five-ply bindings set-off gorgeously against the maple, ebony and rosewood of the body, neck and headstock. Pearl headstock inlays, custom gold tailpiece, matching Grove Imperial tuners, Kent Armstrong set pickup, pick guard mounted volume control. Playing the B420 is an amazing experience. It is an outstanding guitar and a very rare piece to find on the market. The tone is deep, rich and extremely expressive. This guitar is super loud when you need it and soft and buttery when you ease off. From the first time you lay your hands on it, you will notice the craftsmanship and impeccable design. This B420 is structurally sound, but it has many lacquer cracks on the front back and som on the sides. Someone obviously left this one in the trunk in the winter and when the temperature changed the fine lacquer cracks occurred. The bad is that the owner was greatly saddened, the good is that this is now available at an affordable price for a player who wants a great archtop for a reduced price. When you look at the guitar  straight on, you do not see any marks as the first picture. But as you look at the guitar on an angle, the light makes the lacquer cracks reflect, and then they stand out as you can see in all the pictures that are taken from a different angle. You can barely feel the cracks in the lacquer. The last B420 sold for $7500. Because of it cosmetic appearance we are listing this one at $6000 and will consider reasonable offers.
