We strive to price our instruments as competitively as possible in order to give our customers the best possible value for their dollar. And as a guitarist myself I would never sell an instrument that didn’t live up to my own high standards and expectations.

All of our instruments are thoroughly inspected, tested, professionally set up, and carefully packed for shipment. And all instruments are sold with our 72 hour satisfaction guarantee.

We encourage you to call us for the best price possible. We routinely have demos, closeouts, blemishes, and used instruments available for purchase. And if you happen to find a lower price please let us know.

And please keep in mind that it’s difficult comparing various instruments on the Internet. Since many of our guitars come standard with upgraded woods and tone controls shopping by price alone won’t tell the whole story.

Product Description

1953 Epiphone Blackstone —

A 1953 Epiphone Blackstone archtop with a beautiful sunburst finish. This guitar is in beautifully clean condition and is one of the nicest looking original Epiphones that I’ve seen. The Blackstone was in the Epiphone lineup from 1931-1950.

The pickguard is a recent replica of the original.  the truss rod adjustment at the end of the fretboard, as you would expect for a 1947. Small amount of Lacquer checking typical of guitars of this era. No cracks or repairs. The frets and fingerboard in excellent condition.

This one has the trademark big, open Epiphone archtop sound and it plays very easily, with a low action. A wonderful guitar, and it’s amazing that they go for so much less than the fancier Triumphs and Broadways.

. Clear, open and forward, with great midrange, this guitar has the big chunky tone and bark for which Epis have been renowned.
The Tone says it all but these are the real deal.
